The first year of having Yondr pouches comes to an end. This is exciting for many students at school. There have been many ups and downs with the Yondr pouch being a new addition to our school.

When I first found out about the Yondr pouches, I was in disbelief. I saw it on my friend Mike’s snapchat story a couple days before school started. The first thought that came to my mind was “Why is Goodpasture so dumb.”

I actually thought I was going to cry when I saw it. When I saw my mom that night I went up to her and said “I’m not putting my phone in that thing.” After I said this, she went on a rant about how I am going to put my phone in it.

But, there were many pros and cons about the Yondr pouches. They made the year difficult but they also helped many people throughout the year.

For starters, a good thing about them was that many students got more of their work in. This happened because most of the students didn’t have access to their phone while they were in their classes.

Another thing that made the Yondr pouches a somewhat good addition was that more students were able to communicate with each other. This also being because students didn’t have access to their phones during the day.

But, there were many bad things that came with the Yondr pouches. For example, the first 3 months of school I barely even put my phone in my Yondr pouch. I found out the hard way when I got caught with my phone out by Coach Mac. I got grounded when my mom found out.

Another con was that students can’t text or call their parents when they need something. I remember asking a teacher if I could unlock my Yondr pouch and call my mom and this teacher said no. I eventually called my mom, but I had to use the office phone.

I hate to admit it but, the Yondr pouches coming to Goodpasture led to many good things. However, they also led to many bad things. I bet everyone is glad for them to be gone.
