Apple released the iPhone 17 for sale on Sept. 19, a little less than a year after the iPhone 16. This phone came with several new features for buyers to enjoy. Compared to other iPhones, this one is a more efficient and long-lasting choice.
The iPhone comes with a bigger display, a 50% brighter screen and much thinner borders, which are covered under a ceramic shield for extra protection for the phone.
The screen contains an anti-reflective screen to reduce glares and reflections. Additionally, it has the Always-On feature for quick access to the time and date, even if the phone is locked.
Internally, Apple added a vapor chamber to cool off the phone during gaming or extended use. They also added an A19 chip which enhances all AI features and the overall performance for the phone.
Compared to the other iPhones, the iPhone 17 battery allows it to charge 50% in 20 minutes. Apple gave this iPhone an all-day battery life, and even just ten minutes of charging time can give you eight hours of battery time.
“I am getting the iPhone 17 for sure,” senior Auburn Haun said. “My iPhone 16 battery is running out faster than it should, so I’m looking forward to buying the new iPhone.”
The standard iPhone 17 can give up to thirty hours of video playback, and the pro max version can give up 39 hours of Playback.
The camera for this new iPhone features 24MP resolution, providing a clearer version of the front camera. Also, the AI powered center stage feature keeps the subject in the middle during a picture or facetime calls without having to move the phone yourself.
The back camera has been updated to provide 48MP resolution, which is significantly clearer than the other iPhone models. On the standard iPhone 17, you can zoom up to 4x on your back camera, but on the Pro model, you can have up to 8x optical zoom to give a much closer look to a distant subject you want to capture.
Apple added a dual camera feature on the camera app to capture both the front and back camera for both selfies and videos. This is purposed so you can capture your reaction when recording or taking a picture.
Despite the updated features, it doesn’t change some opinions of those who are not iPhone users.
“I am an Android user,” Bible Teacher Heath Pickard said. “I think androids are better than iphones, they are more functional, and over 70% of the world uses them. I don’t want to be a sheep that follows, I want to be the G.O.A.T..”
Nonetheless, The iPhone 17 provides a much more helpful and enjoyable experience for all Apple users, as this model is more advanced than the previous ones.
