Goodpasture’s Homecoming was a fun-filled night full of floats, family, and football.
The annual float competition among the upperclassmen was a major event. The theme for Homecoming was “60s” to celebrate Goodpasture’s founding in 1965.
The seniors took home the victory with their moon landing themed float.
“I really like how float building brings all different groups and cliques together,” senior Eden Dominski said.
The Homecoming ceremony was held right before the game, and senior Ella Rhea Crockett was crowned the Homecoming queen.
The Marching Cougars performed at halftime and wowed the crowd with their performance.
“The band was great and had a lot of energy,” Middle and High School Chorus Director Zach Shockley said.
The football team was also energized and played well, beating the Columbia Academy Bulldogs 42-7.
