The 2024-2025 basketball season for Goodpasture Christian School has been underway for two months. The boys are ranked first in the district with a record of 20-1. The State Tournament will be held at Tennessee Tech and begin on March 6!
”WE WANT MORE!!!!” Senior Jayden Jones said.
Their next game is on Friday, Jan.31, at 7:30 p.m.; they will face MJCA away.
”We don’t care about being first right now, we want to be first at the end of the season.” Senior Daniel Whiteman exclaimed.
The 23 team members have practice daily from 3:30-5:30.
They play several games each week. Their last game was on Tuesday, Jan. 28, where they faced Clarksville Academy and won 74-38; senior night occurred between the boys and girls game, where they walked with their families.
”We have an incredible group of players, but we are even better young men.” Stated Coach Patton, who is coaching Goodpasture boys for his second year.
They were cut short of going to State last year, so they are extra determined this year. They lost in Elite 8 vs. ECS, which ended their season last year.
“We appreciate the cheerleaders, pac, and fans for constantly cheering them on,” Patton stated.
